Pendry West Hollywood Hotel and Residences

The Pendry West Hollywood Hotel and Residences writes a new chapter in the Sunset story, amplifying its heritage as a prime destination for nightlife, entertainment, dining and shopping. This striking addition to the Sunset Strip spans the full block of a prominent corner site and brings mixed-use amenities to both visitors and locals.

Occupying the intersection of Sunset and Olive, The Pendry complex is anchored by a modern eleven-story Hotel with 149 guest rooms, three dining venues, a private social club, a rooftop pool sanctuary and —in homage to its former House of Blues location— an intimate live music venue.

An entry piazza separates the hotel and residential buildings, the latter of which includes 40 luxury condominiums with generous private terraces, five affordable homes, a small retail footprint and 400 subterranean parking spaces.

The residential enclave steps gracefully down its dramatically-sloped site, taking advantage of the steep incline to provide unparalleled views and vistas.

On the Hotel’s Sunset-facing façades, the architecture, signage and branding merge into a 6,000 square-foot wall of high-definition LED “billboards” which have featured new public commissions by artists including David Hockney, Shirin Neshat, Agnes Denes, Simon Fujiwara and Anne Imhoff.

Pendry West Hollywood is designed by Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects, and executed by Cuningham with interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
