TAKASHI YANAI APPOINTED TO A+D MUSEUM BOARD OF DIRECTORS, EHRLICH ARCHITECTS DESIGNS CUSTOM OBJECT FOR GALA AUCTION
Partner Takashi Yanai was recently appointed to the Architecture+Design Museum, Los Angeles (A+D LA) Board of Directors! He joins Executive Director Tibbie Dunbar, and the rest of the Board in strategic planning for this non-profit organization.
The museum opened its new downtown location in the Arts/Toy District on 4th Street in Los Angeles with a gala event on Saturday evening June 27th. A contingent from Ehrlich Architects attended to support the museum and to auction off an Ehrlich Architects-designed object.
Our piece, called "Part and Parcel" is a series of blocks that come together to craft a unique idea of Shelter. Left to the imagination of the builder, pieces fabricated from wood, acrylic, steel, and stone transcend their own materiality, situation, and scale. All proceeds benefit the A+D Museum.
