We are proud to share that Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney (EYRC) Architects is now officially certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in the State of California. This is in addition to our Small Business certification through the California Department of General Services, recently renewed in 2022.
While diversity, equity, and inclusion have been long-held values by the firm since its inception, we find it crucial that such values are articulated into more prominent policies, actions and behaviors in order for these efforts to positively affect each project we perform. In addition to our own certifications, we continue to seek opportunities to collaborate with minority, small, women-owned and disadvantaged businesses on our projects.
The firm's diversity, equity and inclusion efforts extend past our business fabric; self-organized groups within EYRC such as the Design Justice Committee (DJC) continue to collaborate with local organizers like Los Angeles Community Fridges on community-oriented projects.
In addition, EYRC's practices are measured objectively and held internally accountable through participation in the JUST label, a “nutrition label for socially just and equitable organizations” that bills itself as a voluntary disclosure tool.
